Zoo Atlanta

Saturday I got a pleasant surprise; an invitation to join Pipistrella and 75% of Team Z at the Atlanta Zoo. I haven’t been to the zoo in well over a decade and was delighted at the opportunity even in the heat of an Atlanta summer. I learned some interesting facts about the Homo Sapiens Peticus namely that it can carry its body weight in offspring. šŸ™‚

I also learned that for each time Anya-monster says “Take my picture now!”, her Auntie Pip says “Don’t you dare take my @#$!* picture!” šŸ™‚
All joking aside, I had a great time and a delicious lunch afterwards. I couldn’t have asked for a nicer surprise outing.

Pictures in the Photo Gallery.

Well, perhaps you could’ve asked that I be there. šŸ˜‰

I was sorry to miss it, so I’m delighted to see the pictures. I think she likes those big sculptures as much as the real animals!

Correction, “I could HARDLY have asked for a nicer surprise outing.” Yes, your being able to join us would have been very nice. šŸ™‚

I think you guys will love it. Watch the weather though. Be sure to check out the Meerkats, those guys didn’t flinch even in the hottest part of the day. We found the fact that the Meerkat and Warthog enclosures were next to each other amusing. šŸ™‚
