He’s Going the Distance
I’ve always enjoyed some modest exercise. I’m not one for massive body building or that sort of thing, just some general feel good and toning level stuff. Some folks I know like to exercise first thing in the day, as it give them a boost of energy for the rest of the day.
I, on the other hand, prefer to exercise in the evenings. I find that it relaxes and distresses me, especially the breathing/stretching stuff and the walks. Last night, I felt I needed a bit more, so I just headed out for a walk late in the evening. Before I knew it, I’d gone about 2-3 miles out and turned around for the trip back. I was rather surprised at the pace I’d set as well. Just sort of de-focused and let my mind wander while my feet took me where they would. I’m thinking that sort of diversion might be good on a semi-regular basis.
