Bambaw Bamboo Cutlery Set Review
Sadly, a few weeks ago my To-Go Ware bamboo cutlery set disappeared while I was on a trip. It was a great set and I’d been using it for a couple years as my office set to avoid plastic utensils. Just toss it in your backpack, purse or messenger bag and its always there when you need it.
I considered just reordering the same set, I really wanted a straw too since those are now realized as a major issue in plastic waste. That lead me to Bambaw on Amazon and decided to give their set a try once it was finally back in stock (apparently it is rather popular).
The Bambaw set is a bit bulkier than my previous To-Go Ware set. Like the To-Go Ware, it has its own carrying solution. In this case, a canvas “roll case” with individual sleeves to keep each utensil in place. Unlike the To-Go Ware set, the Bambaw knife is serrated which makes it more effective. Finally, the Bambaw replaces the chopsticks found in the To-Go Ware set with a straw and, in a really nice touch, a cleaning brush for it.
Honestly, I would recommend either set for someone looking to reduce their plastic waste. The real choice depends on which is more important to you, a straw or chopsticks and a slightly smaller/lighter form factor.
