Android App Pick – InstaCamera

This is a relatively simple app that addresses a pretty common problem… sometimes opening your camera app, waiting, hoping it is ready and then snapping your picture is plenty long enough for the photo opportunity to have passed. InstaCamera offers a one-touch icon that automatically opens the camera and snaps a picture with no additional effort needed by the user. Additional features include:

• Take multiple shots in a row (up to five)
• Change the shutter volume (default is 60{a31f233dcfb9a68fbfb0fafc3ce96f3dbf18fa49e3f406b8ddf4c360aa321eb6})
• Change the photo resolution (default is max)
• Stay in camera mode after taking instant photos (then you touch the screen to take more, and back button to quit)

During my testing on my Samsung Galaxy S I experienced one force close when shooting in the “burst mode” and maximum resolution. Perhaps a little much for my older phone, so might not be a problem on newer devices.
