Disk Encryption For Your Android Honeycomb Device

Honeycomb comes with a built-in data encryption option. If you store personal, financial or business information which, frankly, many of us do without even realizing it, this can be a nice layer of security in case your tablet is stolen.

To activate encryption make sure you tablet is fully charged and you have some time. The process can take a while and you really don’t want your tablet shutting down in the middle of the process.

To begin go to Settings, then select Location & Security.

You should have an option called Encryption.

Tap Encrypt Tablet and proceed.
