Discovery Park Walk
Yesterday’s single shot from the camera phone didn’t do the walk justice. Although it was VERY blustery yesterday, the sun was out so I walked a few miles from Ballard to Discovery Park. The park is about 500 acres of land reclaimed from Fort Lawson Military base and occupies a peninsula of land known as Magnolia Bluff. It juts out into Puget Sound and has a North and South beach of mixed sand and pebbles.
Round trip was about 7 miles and it felt good to stretch my legs and clear my head. When the weather clears up a bit more, I’ll definitely be visiting more often and maybe have a picnic.

Man, it is really beautiful out there. I could retire there, get a Polar Fleece, and a dog. Walk up and down the beach, playing catch…
Good move. 🙂
Glen
You’d fit in completely, Glen. Should I keep my eyes open for sales on messenger bags (Mandatory starting equipment) and job listings in your industry? 🙂
Check out those White Caps!!! God I wish I could have gone for a sail yesterday. If there’s a nice day this weekend then we’re going to take the boat out. Want to come if we do?
Do you even have to ask?!?! You bet!
