Fresnel Lens vs. a Penny, Part Two
Finally had a nice sunny day to try out the fresnel lens I pried out of the old big screen television the other day. First observations…. very glad to have welding goggles on hand; its insanely bright. Next thing, I really need to build a frame and holder for this thing; its large, unwieldy and the edges are sharp (I have several small cuts to prove it). Finally, its hella effective. Here is a picture of a penny unfortunate to find its way in front of the focal point. Approximately exposure time, a mere 5 seconds. *insert evil laugh here*
So, after some improvements I just need recommendation on what to try it on next. Volunteers and suggestions welcome. 🙂
