Pico Sopp

(Akiba) Greenhouse (Japan) will start selling a line of shock resistant, water resistant USB Flash Memory Drives called the Pico Sopp. The Pico Sopp is USB 2.0 and there are several different sizes in the lineup including 32MB, 64MB, 128MB, 256MB, and 512MB models. The 128MB and 256MB models will start shipping on January 3rd and the other models will ship at the end of the month.

The Pico Sopp uses a rubber material for the exterior which helps the device resist shock and water. The interface is USB 2.0 and 1.1. The Pico Sopp is powered from the USB bus and consumes 150mA. The device has one USB connector and comes with a cable for use with desktop or laptop PCs when necessary. The external dimensions are 25x67x12mm and the weight is 20 grams.

A different color corresponds to a different storage capacity: 32MB=Red, 64MB=Yellow-Green, 128MB=Orange, 256MB=Yellow, 512MB=Grey. The Pico Sopp is compatible with Microsoft Windows 98SE/2000/ME/XP and Mac OS 9.x ? OSX 10.1.3 and above.
