French Press

The adorable French press I ordered finally arrived. Had to shop around a bit to find one that was suitably antique looking so I could use it at home as well as recreationally, but I think this one fits the bill. Its a small, two-cup model, which suits me fine as I prefer my coffee in small, fresh doses when I can get it that way.

I could only do a general test on it as I only had percolator ground coffee but the results were still quite acceptable. I find papers filters a deplorable hassle and avoid them whenever I can. I still kept my cantankerous old stainless steel percolator for larger batches but I think the press will be my usual method for personal service.

Now if the coffee mill would just arrive, I’d be set…
