UPDATE: 12-year-old settles music swap lawsuit

Thank you cyberduck for the followup research. The previously mentioned 12 year girl and her single mother were sued by the RIAA for $2,000. I’m certain that the executives (certainly not the artists, they aren’t seeing any of this money) and their lawyer-ghouls (as opposed to good lawyers, of which there are notable instances) will be able to make ends meet this month from their unexpected windfall. For the record, I will NEVER purchase another CD affiliated in any shape, form or fashion with the RIAA.
